Pearl Pigment/Mica Powder is formed by mica powder coated by a layer of titanium dioxide. It can be mixed with all style synthetic resin, has very good stability and adaptability in both solvent and water based paints/inks, resin. The performance is very good, shows smooth and soft filling or flashing pearlescent effects. It is non-toxic and low specific gravity with stable chemical properties.

Mica pigments can be mixed with a wide range of media, including but not limited to acrylic pouring medium, epoxy resin, cosmetics, glass, clay, oil-based media, wax, soap, and acrylic paint.
Mica Pigments are based on weight and not by volume. As density of pigments can cause a slight fluctuation in volume, the jars need extra space to ensure that 10g of every pigment coloration will fit.
Mica powder is non-toxic, and so it is popularly used in soap making and in the production of cosmetics.
Mica pigments are highly concentrated so a little bit goes a long way. Using an amount of mica pigment equal to roughly 0.5% to 3% the total volume of epoxy is recommended. We recommend starting around 18g per gallon to start.
Mica Powders will naturally have a shimmer, as it is an earth mineral that has this effect. To achieve a solid opaque color in epoxy we recommend pigment paste, a resin based dye that will give your epoxy resin a solid color.
Our pearl pigments are fully verified and comply with standard specifications, backed by SGS, TDS, COA, and MSDS certifications to guarantee safety and performance.
